Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo has called on cabinet ministers to coordinate with the regional governments to handle the former members of the Nusantara Daybreak Movement, locally known as Gerakan Fajar Nusantara or Gafatar.
"The president has urged the ministers to coordinate with the regional governments to handle the matter," presidential special staff for communication Johan Budi remarked at the Presidential Palace complex here on Wednesday.
He affirmed that no final decision had been taken on resettling ex-Gafatar members in Kalimantan.
"There is no decision yet, but the president has conveyed to the relevant minister to handle the matter," Budi remarked, adding that the government, through the relevant institutions, is currently handling the former members of Gafatar.
According to Budi, the process of resettling them is underway, but their safety remains the priority of the government. (WDY)
