Denpasar (Antara Bali) -- The Bali provincial chapter of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) has urged the government to require all companies in Bali to become KADIN members.
"If a company is not registered as a member of KADIN it is not allowed to follow the government`s project tender," chairman of Bali provincial KADIN chapter Gde Sumarjaya Linggih said here on Sunday.
It refers to law no. 1 of 1987 on the Chamber of Commerce, as well as Presidential Decree No. 17 of 2010 on Approval of Amendment to the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART) Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides that the three economic actors both state-owned or public enterprises, cooperatives, and the private sectors must become a member of KADIN with the obligation to register at the districts/cities of KADIN chapter.
"We realize that the three economic actors are the biggest tax contributors in Indonesia," he stated. (WDY)
