Denpasar, May 12(Antara) - The opposition Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) led in the legislative election in Bali over other parties contesting the 55 seats at the the regional legislative assembly for the 2014-2019 period.
Based on the decision of a plenary session of the regional legislative assembly here on Monday, PDIP won 24 seats.
Coming second was Golkar with 11 seats, followed by the ruling Democratic Party with 8 seats, Gerindra 7 seats, Nasdem 2 seats, PAN , Hanura and PKPI each 1 seat, chairman of the provincial Election Commission Dewa Kade Wiarsa Raka Sandi announced in the open plenary session.
PDIP secured one seat higher than in the 2009 election . Gerindra recorded a significant increase from two to seven seats. (WDY)
