Pekanbaru (Antara Bali) - Robbers shot a gold shop keeper to death here on Sunday, a police officer has said.
The robbers also grabbed some kilograms of gold from four gold shops in the Airmolek traditional shopping center, the detective police chief of Indragiri Hulu police precinct, Adjunct Commissioner Dody Harza Kusumah said here on Sunday.
The victim identified as Hery was shot dead in the "Putri Ayu" gold shop, the police said, adding that the incident happened at 1.15 pm Western Indonesia Standard Time (WIB).
According to Dody, the victim suffered from gunshot wounds on his chest. So far the police have been investigating the shooting incident, he stated.
Meanwhile, eye witnesses pointed out that the robbers who were more than ten persons committed their robbery action very quickly.(*/T007)
