Batang, C. Java (Antara Bali) - Yulianti, 34, a female migrant worker from Kedawung Village, Banyuputih, Central Java, died in Malaysia after a robbery.
"Yulianti's cousin, who works in Malaysia, informed us that Yulianti had passed away on January 8. We were shocked to hear the news," said Yulianti's father, Siswanto, on Thursday.
According to him, Yulianti died after several robbers attacked her in her room in Selingsing, Tamansari, Srikucing, Malaysia.
"When we heard the news, we were shocked. We didn¿t know how to transport her body to Indonesia. Besides, we cannot afford the airfare to transport her body," he said.
Yulianti's mother, Muriah, was shocked to hear the tragic news. "Over the past few days, I had been feeling uncomfortable and nervous," said Muriah.
She added that her daughter's body will be transported to Indonesia either on January 10 or January 11. "We are waiting for our daughter's body," she said. (*/DWA/T007)
