Pekanbaru (Antara Bali) - State-owned Enterprises Labor Federation (FSP-BUMN)has called on the public to reject the government's plan to raise subsidized fuel oil prices in April, 2012.
"The FSP-BUMN is calling on all layers of the people to stage peaceful rallies and to reject the government's plan to hike fuel oil prices on April 1, 2011," the Presidium Chairman of the National Committee of the FSP-BUMN, Arief Poyuono said in a press statement made available to ANTARA here on Sunday.
However, the FSP-BUMN leader also called on the public to reject any attempt to politicize the fuel oil price increase issue as a means to topple the present government under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President Boediono.
He said that the state-owned trade federation also asked the government not to have phobia about a threat to be 'overthrown' linked to the rejection of its plan to raise fuel oil prices.
"Yet, the federation also asks the government to revise work contracts on the oil sector and observe article 33 of the 1945 Constitution if it does not want to be overthrown," he said.(IGT)
