Denpasar (Antaranews Bali) - Ubud Food Festival will highlight the potential of Bali food and traditional dishes as well as diversity of Indonesia's cuisine to foreign tourists.
"There will be a lot of Balinese and Indonesian food which will attract foreign tourists to taste local and street food," General Manager of Ubud Food Festival Kadek Purnami said here on Thursday.
The food festival will be held from April 13-15 2018 at the culinary park on Jalan Sanggingan Ubud, Gianyar District.
The participants or visitors will be invited to visit the traditional and cooking demo of Balinese food.
The organizer will invite around 100 chefs, 60 percent of whom are prominent Indonesian chefs.
In addition, the committee will provides 90 culinary outlets with a typical menu of Bali and archipelago cuisine.
Despite raising traditional food, the organizer still brings international nuance as part of culinary acculturation.
The festival will display a number of programs including discussions, cooking demonstrations, workshops, cooking courses, food markets, music performances, and others.
Meanwhile, the event is intended to promote innovations for the culinary industry in the future.
Innovations ranging from social media, inspiring startup to companies that have a social mission in accordance with the theme of this year's "Generation of Innovation".
The event is expected to boost tourism in Bali. Since, the eruption of Mount Agung, the popular destination has seen a drop in visitors. (WDY)
