Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Puan Maharani voiced the government's commitment to improving the quality of life of Indonesian people.
"The commitment and strategic agenda has been stated in the National Mid Term Development Plan (RPJMN) for 2015-2019," Maharani said here on Monday.
To improve the quality of life of Indonesians, the minister noted that the government has guaranteed the availability of basic needs and services for each resident.
"It has been done through the distribution of the Prosperous Family Card (KKS), Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS), and Smart Indonesia Card (KIP)," she affirmed.
The minister pointed out that the government has strengthened development in the rural regions to address the gaps and to improve the productivity of the population.
In addition, the government has opened up access to capital by providing subsidized interest rates.
"The state budget allocation for rural areas is higher than the allocations to ministries/agencies," she pointed out.
Therefore, it can accelerate development in the regions and villages, so that the people can increase their productivity.
"The government continues to streamline its policies in tackling poverty and empowering the poor people," the minister remarked. (WDY)
