Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Vice President Jusuf Kalla said the extension of the holiday of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud in Bali, is considered to be a promotion of Indonesian tourism, especially for foreign tourists from the Middle East.
On the sidelines of IORA (the Indian Ocean Rim Association) Summit 2017 here on Tuesday, Kalla said the decision King Salman to extend his holiday in Bali shows that Indonesia is a very attractive tourist destination.
"King Salman's holidays in Bali is a great promotion, especially for the Middle East market," Kalla stated.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud has confirmed to extend the holiday in Bali for three days.
Initially, King Salman will have a holiday in Bali until March 9, but it is extended until March 12, 2017.
Tourism Minister Arief Yahya here, Tuesday, said it shows that the king feels comfortable to have vacation in Indonesia.
"We would like to thank King Salman bin Abdul Aziz bin al-Saud for having his vacation in Bali," Arief Yahya said.
The Ministry of Tourism has recommended a number of places in Bali that can be visited by the King of Saudi and the royal family. (WDY)
