Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Alexander Ivanov said that his country strongly condemn the deadly attack on the US embassy in Lybia over anti-islam film.
"The Russia has firmly stated that we condemn this terrorist act against the US diplomats, according to the international convention that diplomats in any countries have immunity and every government should insure this immunity," Ivanov said in a special interview with ANTARA earlier this week.
According to Ivanov, the Russian president Vladimir Putin has expressed his statement on the killing of four American diplomats in their consulate in Libya over the provocative movie that is discrediting Islam.
"We strongly condemns this killing of the US diplomats, terrorist act have no justification at all, never. Also we are appealing to all government to be very sensitive regarding all manifestation of extremism especially in the inter-faith religion relation," he said.
Ivanov emphasized that any manifestation of the hatred towards other religion is very much dangerous and every government should react immediately to such manifestations
Earlier, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono also strongly disapproved of the anti-Muslim film that had led to the incident," said presidential special aide for international relations Teuku Faizasyah.(IGT/T007)
