Denpasar (Antara Bali) - The occupancy rates of star rated hotels in Bali rose 1.2 percent in May on growing number of foreign visitors to the world's major tourist destinaiton.
The occupancy rates average 60.21 percent in May , up from 59.01 percent in the previous months, head of the Bali Central Statistic Agency (BPS) Gede Suarsa said here on Saturday.
The highest occupancy rates were recorded by hotels in the regency of Gianyar averaging 69.63 percent , up from 55.88 percent in April, Suarsa said.
In the regency of Badung the occupancy rates averaged 61.69 percent or the second highest up from 60.26 percent.
In the capital city of Denpasar, the occupancy rates averaged 61.57 percent , up from 60.38 percent. Hotels in other regencies like Karangasem and Buleleng also recorded an increase in May.(*/M038)
