Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Archipelago International has a strong sense of careness to the orphanages by visiting several orphanages in Bali and Jakarta as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
"Orphanage visit is our annual activity which is one of Archipelago’s CSR program in addition to tree planting, beach cleanup and many more," Archipelago International’s VP Human Resources, Lukas K. Samali said on press release to ANTARA on Saturday.
He said that in Bali, Archipelago International visited the Elisama orphanage which currently cares for around 45 children, from toddlers to Senior High School teenagers.
Meanwhile in Jakarta, the operator of several wellknown hotels in Indonesia, visited Kampung Melayu orphanage which currently nurtures around 60 children of various ages.
During the visit, Lukas stated, games and activities were held to gain more emotional connection and delivered daily requirements for the children as well as much needed educational equipments.
Corporate social responsibility at Archipelago means demonstrating the vision and values of the company throughout operations, partnerships, and social programs.
"For the next orphanage visit we are planning to engage Archipelago hotels participation all around Indonesia and South East Asia. We are deeply committed to conducting business in a socially responsible and ethical manner, and visits such as these help to show the kind of company we are and what we stand for,†Lukas added.(DWA/T007)
