Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) of the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) Tuesday opened up while the rupiah weakened against the U.S. dollar.
Rupiah exchange rate in the Jakarta interbank's transaction on Tuesday morning fell 40 points to Rp9.060, where it was closed at Rp9.100 on the previous day.
The IDX's CSPI index opened up 12.38 points or 0.33 percent to 3,782.66, meanwhile Index of the 45 leading stocks (LQ45) rose 3.12 points, or 0.47 percent to 668.15 position.
On early Tuesday's market opening, IDX recorded a five share rose, one share weakens and another one remains stagnant.
Besides, there are also some 142 transactions of share trading with a trade volume of two million shares valued at Rp15,422 billion.
Regional exchanges such as the Hang Seng index rose 106.68 points (0.59 percent) to 18176.56, the Nikkei-225 index rose 55.76 points (0.67 percent) to a level of 8352.53 and Straits Times gained 4.62 points (0.18 percent) to a level of 2623.03.(**)
