Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) opened trade Monday morning with composite share price index falling 13.86 points on lack of positive sentiment.
The BEI index dropped 13.86 points or 0.28 percent to 4,927.12 points with index of 45 most liquid stocks (LQ45) down 3.47 points or 0.41 percent to 833.40 points.
"The BEI index lost ground to follow the regional trend with little positive sentiment," Samuel Sekuritas' analyst Benedictus Agung said here on Monday.
Benedictus said technical factor also contributed to the BEI index fall after significant gain of 4.5 percent in previous four trading days last week, prompting profit taking. (*/M038)
