Singaraja (Antara Bali) - Power company PT Indonesia Power spent Rp21 billion on corporate social responsibility (CSR) this year.
"The fund was merely used as assistance for community development," PT Indonesia Power corporate secretary Noesita Indriani said during the launch of a coral reef conservation program here on Thursday.
The fund allocated for the CSR accounted for about 1.5 percent of the company's net profit, she said.
She said the CSR program targeted nine areas in Java and Bali as business units developed by Indonesia Power.
"Based on our record, the CSR fund that has been spent on various programs from January to mid November 2011 accounts for 73 percent of the overall amount," she said.(**)
