Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi
said he would evaluate all aviation schools after repeated accidents
involving trainer planes.
"I have ordered the director general of air transportation to conduct a thorough evaluation soon," the minister said in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The minister issued the statement following the crash of a trainer plane belonging to Perkasa Fight School on the rice fields in Cilacap District, West Java, on Thursday morning.
The Viper Warrior aircraft No. PK-BH was flying with two passengers, one a pilot instructor and the other a student. The two victims sustained light injuries and were given medical treatment at a hospital.
The Ministry of Transportation transferred the case to the National Committee for Transportation Safety (KNKT) to carry out an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.(WDY)
