Nusa Dua (Antara Bali) - Meliá Bali recently conducted spiritual activities (Tirtayatra) combined with a social visit to Pura Silayukti and Pura Andekasa, Bali’s holy Temples.

For Balinese, Tirtayatra means spiritual trips for those who wish to grab the higher level of individual self-development especially in mental, emotion, and their spiritual aspect of body.

In these activities, 140 Hindu devotees from Meliá Bali staffs and their family held the Pujawali ceremony, the offering day to Ida Bethara for celebrating his birth at the intended temples.

The resort continuously carries out the principal of ‘enriching ourselves with the Balinese Culture’. One of these principals is the Balinese Hindu Tri Hita Karana concept of balance between man, God, the environment and the spiritual realm.

Meliá Bali underscores its commitment to this principal by holding Emerald Resort status in the Tri Hita Karana Tourism Award 2010, Bali’s highest sustainable tourism honor. The resort continues to be a leader of both environmental and social sustainability in Bali’s hospitality industry.(*)
