Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesia's balance of payment last year recorded a surplus of US$11.9 billion, driven by high export performance, Bank Indonesia (the central bank/BI) said.
Current transactions contributed US$2.1 billion and capital and financial transactions US$14.0 billion to the surplus, BI's director of public relations and strategic planning Dyah N.K. Makhijani said on Friday.
She said the country's export growth last year remained high despite low demand in the global market.(IGT)
