Bali Earns US$1.34 Million From Exports Of Meat And Processed Fish

Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Bali earned US$1.34 million  from the exports of processed fish and meat  in October, 2017 , up 2.08 percent from US$1.31 million in previous month.

"The export earning, however,  was 51.67 percent lower in comparison with US$2.77 million recorded in October, 2016," head of the statistic department of  Bali's Central Bureau of Statistics I Gede Nyoman Subadri said here on Wednesday.

Nyoman said meat and processed fish accounted for 2.81 percent of the total export earning of Bali  that reached US$47.69 million  in  in October , 2017.

The main country of destination for the exports of meat and processed fish is the United States, which accounted for 93.64 percent of the total exports of the commodities.

Bali also exports frozen fish and shrimp valued at US$13.11 million in October 2017, up 18.10 percent  from US$11.10 million in the previous month, and from US$1.89 million a year earlier.

China is the largest buyer for frozen fish and shrimps accounting for 26.83 percent , followed by the United States to which exports making up 26.29 percent, Japan 16.81 percent,  Vietnam 9.42 percent, Australia 3.84 percent, Singapore 1 percent, Hong Kong 3.58 percent, Thailand 0.63 percent, etc. (WDY)
