Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Bali provincial governor Made Mangku Pastika urged all government employees to stay away from gambling and drugs, and said anyone found violating the order would have to resign.
"If any officials and staff are involved in gambling or taking drugs, I suggest to them to resign, " Pastika stated in a roll call here on Tuesday.
Likewise, Pastika urged employees suffering from any serious illness such as stroke, to take early retirement because they cannot be productive any longer.
Pastika further asked the civil servants to be present at every roll call and remain disciplined, because their presence in the roll call is not only aimed to check upon them, but to also hear the governor`s directives about the implementation of their duties as civil servants.
The governor stressed the importance of the roll call after 104 of the provincial government officials were found absent on Monday (Nov 23, 2015). (WDY)
