Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will present the 2015 Draft State Budget to the House of Representatives (DPR) on Friday (Aug 15), according to presidential special staffer for economic affairs and development Prof. Firmanzah.
The 2015 State Budget (APBN) focusing mainly on the budget baseline which calculates the basic necessities to run the government and provide public services, however, would be implemented by the new president and new cabinet, Firmanzah said in a statement posted on the official website of the Cabinet Secretariat, here, Wednesday.
"Through this formulation of the 2015 State Budget, the next government will have larger fiscal space to include new initiative programs and their budget allocations through the revised state budget (APBNP), which will be accelerated in 2015. The new program initiatives must be included as the essentials of the policies and the expenditure allocations in the revised 2015 state budget," Firmanzah said.
The new president has the authorities to submit a revised version of the 2015 state budget in line with the existing laws and regulations. He referred to Article 156C paragraph (1b) of Law Number 27 of 2009 which mentions that the amendment or revision to the state budget in the current year can be made if there are some revisions to the main points of fiscal policies.
President Yudhoyono will communicate with the president-elect after the Constitutional Court (MK) gives its final decision concerning the disputes over the results of the 2014 presidential election. MK is scheduled to give its final decision on 22 August 2014. (WDY)
