Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Mount Kelud eruption in East Java remains affecting domestic flights from Ngurah Rai airport in Denpasar to Adisucipto airport in Yogyakarta, official said.

"As of Sunday, only the flights from Denpasar to Yogyakarta are being disturbed," Ngurah Rai Airport Duty Manager Agus Adi Pratomo said.

According to him, flights from Denpasar to Adi Sucipto airport were still halted because volcanic ashes that covered the runway had yet to be cleared.

"Husein Sastranegara airport here was reopened at 9 am, but some airline companies with certain destinations will start to operate normally later in the day," airport management company PT Angkasa Pura-II spokesman Daryatno said in Bandujng on Sunday.

He said Lion Air would start its flights from Bandung at 12 noon while Tiger Air Mandala would do the same on Monday. (*/M038)
