The agreement was signed by Indonesian Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo and Australian Deputy Finance Minister Wayne Swan with Indonesian Ambassador to Russia Djauhari Oratmangun witnessing, a news release issued here on Sunday night, said.
The agreement is aimed at strengthening sustainable cooperation through periodical economic dialog and exchange of program of activities and views in fiscal sector, economic cooperation, international economy, taxation policy, finance and climate change.
Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo also has separate bilateral meeting with Lael Brainarde, Staff of the US Minister of Finance in International Relations.
Agus and Brainarde discussed the agenda of G20 on infrastructure finance, regulation on global finance system and bilateral economic and financial cooperation.
Meanwhile, at the two-day G20 meeting Indonesia and Germany were named co-chairmen of a study group for long term financing and investment.
The Study Group of Financing for Investment (SG-FI) will cooperate with the World Bank, OECD, IMF, FSB, PBB, UNCTAD and a number of other international organizations to determine the direction of discussion and infrastructure financing in the future. (*/DWA/T007)
