Jimbaran (Antara Bali) - Indonesia's target of fishery exports has been set at reaching US$5 billion in 2013 up from last year's.
"We have set the target at between US$4.5 and US$5 billion next year," the minister of fisheries and marine resources, Sharif C Sutardjo said here on Friday.
He said the target was up significantly from presently at around US$4 billion.
He said this year's exports were bigger than the imports which were recorded at only 14 percent.
"To achieve the target we have already expanded the export markets," he added.
He said among the new markets are countries in the Middle East and Africa. (IGT/T007)
