Two Security Personnel Shot Dead

Bogor (Antara Bali) - Two security personnel of the Bogor-based Agriculture Institute (IPB) identified as Supriatna (44) and Suhardi (46) were shot dead several minutes before the Friday prayer service at Al-Hurriyah mosque at the IPB campus, the Institute's spokesman said.

"I heard four gun shots and then Pak (Mr) Supriatna looked sprawling and finally died at the scene," the IPB executive secretary, Dr Ir Bonny P.W. Soekarno told Antara here on Friday.

According to Bonny, he heard the gun shot when he was entering the mosque.

"Another gun shot followed the previous four which caused people panic and lied down in the mosque," Bonny said, adding that after hearing series of the gun shots he looked out and found Suhardi was sprawling.

Meanwhile, another security personnel, Supriatna looked trying to creep, he said.(IGT)
