Jakarta (Antara Bali) - A lawmaker from the ruling Democrat Party, Angelina Sondakh, was grilled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Friday as a suspect in a bribery case.
Angie, as the legislator is popularly called, arrived at the KPK Building in the company of her brother-in-law, Mudjie Massaid. She smiled, but did not say a word to the newspeople covering the case.
This was the first round of interrogation done by KPK after it named Angie as a suspect on February 3, in the bribery case concerning the ministry of sports and the ministry of education in 2011.
On April 25, KPK grilled Mindo Rosalina Manulang, Yulianis, Oktarina Puri, Luthfi, and Dadang, who were former employees of Permai Group and had been convicted for corruption.
Angie, as a former member of the House of Represenatives' Budget Committee, had allegedly received bribes in connection with projects in the two ministries.(*/M038)
