The vice president was accompanied by his spouse, Herawati Boediono, National Police Chief General Timur Pradopo, TNI (National Defense Forces) Commander Admiral Agus Suhartono, Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, Deputy Foreign Minister Wardana, Deputy Trade Minister Bayu Krisna Murti, and Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika.
After touring the exhibition hall in the ASEAN Fair for 45 minutes, the vice president and entourage visited several stands and held dialogs with the attendants.
On the occasion, Herawati bought two traditional clothes of Southeast Sulawesi.
The ASEAN Fair 2011 featuring music and food festivals, theatrical performances, and book and handicrafts expos, was officially kicked off by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at Nusa Dua, Bali, on October 24.
The ASEAN Fair is the President's initiative to celebrate the rich cultural diversity in the ASEAN Community, and to bring ASEAN closer to its people.
The Fair is a month-long celebration in Bali and Jakarta, which will culminate in the 19th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Bali on November 17-19, 2011.(**)
