Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesia  and Brunei Darussalam have agreed to expand cooperation in trade  and  investment as well as in labor affairs, the foreign ministry said.

Deputy Foreign Minister A.M. Fachir said good bilateral relations between the two neighboring  countries could serve as a model to promote mutually beneficial cooperation especially in trade and investment.    

"Currently Indonesia is busy building infrastructure  and carrying out energy development. For that we need support in investment from trusted partners  such as Brunei Darussalam," Fachir said in a news release.

Facri made the statement at a meeting with Brunei Ambassador Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Yussof Bin Haji Abd Rahman  at the foreign ministry on Friday.

ato Yussof made a courtesy call at the foreign ministry as a new ambassador replacing Dato Mahmud Haji Saidin.

Dato Yussof said Brunei Darussalam needs Indonesian migrant workers , but the process of recruitment often took too long time. (WDY)
