Denpasar (Antara Bali) - The state's airline company PT Garuda Indonesia plans to add 39 new planes this year to realize its mission as a world-class company with five stars title.
"The number of new fleet will begin to be realized starting in June this year," said the airline's spokesperson Agung Putra Heriyanto, here Friday.
Agung said that as many as 24 planes will strengthen Garuda's fleet while the rest will be used to serve the Citilink flights.
According to the plan, it is estimated that there are two planes every month to be added to strengthen the government-owned airline service flights.
"The new fleet will strengthen the international routes with prioritizing on Bali area because Bali has a major role for overseas flights," he said.
Meanwhile Garuda Indonesia's Bali representative office's General Manager Taufik Hidayat M said that the airline has at least nine international routes from Ngurah Rai. (IGT)
