Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Three police were shot to death by unidentified gunmen at 10 am local time in Poso, Central Sulawesi, on Thursday, the National police spokesman said.
Chief of National Police Headquarters' General Bureau for Public Relations Division, Senior Commissioner Agus Rianto said here on Thursday that the three victims were members of the police mobile brigade.
They were First Brigadier Wayan Putu Ariawa, First Brigadier Winarto and First Brigadier Ruslan. They were now taken to Poso Public Hospital.
He said that the victims were members of the police mobile brigade.
Agus Rianto said earlier that besides the three who died, three others suffered serious injuries. They were First Brigadier Ekawijaya Sumarno, First Brigadier Lungguh Unggara and First Brigadier Siwandi.
Agus said that one of the unidentified gunmen had been arrested." It is estimated the armed gang has five members," he said.(IGT)
