Denpasar, - The Indonesian Fine Arts Institute (ISI) in Denpasar is looking into the possibility of cooperation with a French counterpart as part of efforts to expand its international network.

"The move is one of the breakthroughs to achieve our go-international vision," ISI Rector Prof Dr I Wayan Rai S. said here on Sunday.

Rai said French Ambassador to Indonesia Philippe Zeller visited the ISI campus some time ago to encourage the establishment of the cooperation.

During the visit, Zeller discussed the possibility of cooperation between the two institutes of higher learning in the academic field, Rai said.

Rai expressed hope the cooperation can be realized soon now that ISI is quite known in France.

He said ISI lecturer, Nyoman Kariasa, S. Sn once taught Balinese music and dances in France for six months. (*)
