Badung (Antaranews Bali) - Thousands of tourists comprising chiefly domestic travelers from various regions visited the Dreamland Beach attraction in the area of Pecatu, Badung District, Bali Province, during the long holidays of Eid al-Fitr.

"During such a holiday season, the number of tourists can reach about two thousand people per day," Dreamland supervisor Wayan Taryana revealed here on Tuesday.

Taryana remarked that the number of tourists during the long holidays increased by some 75 percent as compared to regular days.

"In addition, during regular days, tourists visiting Dreamland Beach were largely foreigners, but during the long holiday season, the beach is usually visited by domestic travelers," he stated.

According to Taryana, tourists usually visit Dreamland beach as one of the alternative beach tourism attractions in Badung District.

"Usually tourists have visited Kuta Beach or Tanjung Benoa Peninsula, so they are looking for other tourist attractions such as this beach," he explained.

A tourist from Bandung Santi Arafa visited Dreamland Beach during the Lebaran holidays due to the natural and scenic view of the beach that is surrounded by hills and corals.

"I often visit Kuta Beach. Dreamland has hills that can be enjoyed even from a far distance like from a hotel," she conveyed.

In addition to enjoying the natural ambience of the beach, Arafa said she and her children are interested in water rides offered by several local residents.

"Yes, we have played boogie board, as the waves are not too high. It is really fun," she added. (WDY)
