Jakarta (Antara Bali) - WhatsApp chat application is now used by more than 700 million people worldwide.
"Today, we are happy to announce WhatsApp has 700 million monthly active users worldwide," CEO WhatsApp Jan Koum wrote in his Facebook account.
Koum expressed his gratitude to those users who have trusted WhatsApp as an application to communicate with friends, family and business associates.
Every day, around 30 million messages sent via WhatsApp application.
"We are pleased with this number and will continue to make good products in 2015," said Koum.
Quoted by page Digital Spy, WhatsApp announced last August, they are active users in the figure of 600 million. With increasing proficiency level, meaning that WhatsApp has got about 25 million users each month.
WhatsApp user number is expected to continue to grow with the planned addition of voice-calling features in the period beginning in 2015.(MFD)
