Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesia will promote its tourism while trying to lift the image of the nation through its participation in the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) TV Song Festival 2013 in Hanoi, Vietnam, in October 2013, official said.
"Our participation in the festival is very effective, not only to capture the talent and creativity of the young generation but also to boost our tourism," Deputy Minister for Tourism and Creative Economy Sapta Nirwandar said during a press conference on ABU TV Festival here on Thursday.
Sapta expressed hope that the event would be able to lift the image of Indonesia through the performance of the country's singers in the festival.
"The government will fully support the creative idea in the framework of promoting the tourism and creative economy at the international level, particularly during the participation in the ABU TV Song Festival," Sapta noted. (*/M038)
