North Sulawesi To Host Asian Media Summit

Manado (Antara Bali) - Manado city in North Sulawesi will host the 'Asian Media Summit 2013' in May 2013, according to Department of Transportation, Communication, and Information of North Sulawesi.
       
"This event is expected to be attended by media from around the world, including from America, Europe, Africa, as well as Asia," the Head of Department of Transportation, Communication, and Information of North Sulawesi provincial government, Parlindungan Tampubolon, said here on Saturday.
       
Further, Tampubolon said, preparations for the summit have been monitored by the North Sulawesi provincial government, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information and Asian International Broadcasting Development (AIBD).
       
"Teams from the Ministry and AIBD have visited Manado to take care of the hotel and the venue of the summit. The local government will certainly do its best in organizing this event," he said.
       
He noted that during the 'Asian Media Summit 2013', there would be a discussion about how to develop media and efforts to present news that attracts viewers and listeners.
       
"Therefore, we will maximize the preparation for this event so that the implementation will be in accordance with what we have planned together," he stated.(*/M038)
