Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Noted business woman Hartati Murdaya, the owner of PT Hardaya Inti Plantation and PT Citra Cakra Murdaya, has been named suspect in an alleged bribery case relating to issuance of oil palm plantation land use right.
"Based on the results of investigation two pieces of evidence have been found enough to link the old suspects with the new one namely SHM (Siti Hartati Murdaya)," the chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Abraham Samad, here on Wednesday.
Abraham said SHM as the president director of PT CCM and PT HIP was believed to have given Rp3 billion to the head of Buol district in Central Sulawesi.
"The money was linked to the issuance of the plantation land use right for PT CCM and PT HIP located in the sub-district of Bukal in the district of Buol, Central Sulawesi," he said.
Abraham said the money was given in two stages namely on June 18, 2012 totaling Rp1 billion and on June 26, 2012 totaling Rp2 billion.
SHM has been charged with violating Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 on Corruption later changed into Law Number 20 of 2011.(IGT)
