London (Antara Bali) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his entourage arrived in the United Kingdom on Monday night local time to kick off his visit in the country.
President Jokowi arrived at the Stansted International Airport, London, at around 6:05 p.m. local time or approximately five minutes past midnight (West Indonesia Standard Time) after an hour's flight aboard Presidential Aircraft RI-1.
The president and his entourage left the Tegel International Airport, Berlin, Germany, at around 5:05 p.m. local time for London.
The president's entourage included Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and Presidential Special Staff or Presidential Communication Team Member Ari Dwipayana.
On arrival at the Stansted airport, Indonesian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Rizal Sukma entered the presidential aircraft to greet President Jokowi.
Jokowi was then welcomed by representatives of the United Kingdom, including the officials representing the Queen of England and British Ambassador to Indonesia Moazzam Malik.
From Stansted airport, the president and his entourage headed to the Grossvenor House Hotel. There was no scheduled agenda for Monday night. The president has official activities lined up for Tuesday (April 19). (WDY)
