Paris (Antara Bali/Xinhua-OANA) - French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, who was at the site of the Germanwings flight 4U9525 crash, confirmed to journalists on BFMTV that the plane's black box had been found and it would be transferred to investigative services.
"The black box will be analyzed in the coming hours to allow the investigation to move quickly," said Cazeneuve, adding that measures had been taken to prepare the crash zone for the investigation so it could take place under the best conditions.
A joint investigation by France, Germany and Spain was opened to find out the cause of the tragic crash.
Seven investigators from the French Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA), accompanied by technical advisers from Airbus and CFM International, travelled to the accident site. They were to be joined by a team of three investigators from the BFU (Bundesstelle fur Flugunfalluntersuchung), the BEA's German counterpart, said BEA in a statement.
An Airbus go-team of technical advisors were to be dispatched to provide full assistance to French BEA in charge of the investigation, said the European aircraft manufacturer. (WDY)
