Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Black campaigns ahead of the July 9 presidential election are increasingly alarming and could tarnish democracy, according to Democratic Party Regional Executive Board Chairman Made Mudarta.
"Black campaigns are now at an alarming level, and therefore, the law enforcers should immediately take firm action against the perpetrators," Mudarta said here on Saturday.
He noted that a black campaign did not educate the public to respect the process of democracy that leads Indonesia to a better future.
Therefore, he called on the public to report to the relevant authority any irresponsible parties found engaging in a black campaign.
Mudarta said the public should fight against black campaigns on social media because it did not correspond with reality. (WDY)
