Kuta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian and Singapore air forces met here on Thursday to expand cooperation on the occasion of the 30th military cooperation anniversary of the two ASEAN countries.
"Both sides considered cooperation so far has run well and benefited both sides. It is able to serve as a bridge in the handling of the problems facing two nations' air forces," Deputy Chief of the Indonesian Air Force Vice Marshal Sukirno said here on Thursday.
Bali was hosting the 30th annual meeting of the two countries' air forces.
Sukirno led the Indonesian delegation during the talks on the expansion of the cooperation of the two countries.
The Singapore delegation was led by Chief of the Singapore Air Force, Brig. Gen Hoo C Mou. Hoo C Mou was accompanied by eight officers.
Sukirno said that both sides gave attention to human resources development. "There are many joint exercises that could be included in the program and be carried out," Sukirno said.
In the meantime, Hoo said that the annual meeting had become increasingly important.
"We see that the meeting is not a mere routine affair. There are many important achievements reached in the meeting for two countries' air forces," Hoo said.(*)
