Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - The Bali Province Health Office has discovered two positive cases of Super Flu, or influenza A (H3N2) subclade K, in Denpasar.
The Head of the Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) Division at the Bali Health Office, I Gusti Ayu Raka Susanti, asked the public not to panic as the two cases occurred in patients in October 2025 who have now been confirmed recovered and resumed normal activities.
“We sent the samples to the national laboratory, but the results took a long time. We only received the confirmation recently and then traced the cases back to October,” she said on Tuesday.
Ttwo patients were males aged between 40 and 45, had no history of international travel, and were treated at Wangaya Regional Hospital, a designated referral facility for severe influenza cases.
She also confirmed the two patients were unrelated.
In response, the Bali Health Office will strengthen surveillance of patients with influenza-like symptoms down to the community health center level.
She reminded the public to maintain a clean and healthy lifestyle, wear masks when experiencing flu symptoms, and seek immediate medical attention when necessary.
