Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Chief Economics Minister Hatta Rajasa strongly denied suggestion that social aid budget proposed for the country's poor has been politically motivated.
"We are not talking about profit and loss but we talks about state affairs and the economic interest in the future to keep the good momentum," Hatta said here on Tuesday.
The government plans to propose to the House of Representatives a budget for social aid for low income people in compensation for a planned increase in oil fuel prices.
"I try to think positively. If the policy continued to be suspected of dubious purposes it would never work," he said. (*/M038)
