"We've checked and all equipments are ready. Yet, there is an agreement between WHO (World Health Organization) and the South-East Asian countries not to activate the scanner now," said Director General of Disease Control and Environmental Health (P2PL) Ministry of Health Tjandra Yoga Aditama in a release received here Monday.
The activation of the scanner will be evaluated from time to time, but Tjandra said that the Ministry of Health is ready to check in international airports and seaports if necessary.
Besides setting up the thermal scanners, the ministry's officials also assigned the Port Health affairs Office (KKP) and placed health warning banners and posters around the airports and seaports. (*/DWA)
