Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Product Development Management Association (PDMA) of Indonesia was officially launched here on Tuesday, according to PDMA Vice President for Asia-Pacific Allan M Anderson.
He said the US-based organization, licensed under International PDMA, was expected to become the centre of innovation and product development in Indonesia.
"Product development can be a very complicated affair because it can be influenced by many factors and players," Anderson noted.
"Approximately 46 percent of the resources that companies use to develop new products eventually get wasted," he pointed out.
"These figures show that it is difficult to implement the development of a new product," Anderson continued. With the presence of PDMA in Indonesia, he added, domestic players could manufacture internationally certified products and continue competing in the global market. (*/M038)
