In accordance with ANTARA's observation, a 40 centimeter-high water is spotted in front of Bank of Indonesia building. The location which is only about 700meters away from Presidential Palace cannot be passed by either motorcycles or small cars.
Flood also inundating area in front of Sarinah shopping center in Thamrin road. Water ranging from 10 centimeters to 1,5 meters is flooding the area.
Up till now people are still gathering on the side of the road observing the situation or just taking pictures of the flooded area.
Several trucks from the National Armed Forces and Disaster Mitigation Agency pass through the road - which is home to many office buildings - to offer people a lift to safer location.(*/DWA)
