Bandarlampung (Antara Bali) - A 5.2-magnitude undersea earthquake shook Simeulue district in Aceh province on Tuesday but it did not have the potential to trigger a tsunami, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said.

The epicenter of the quake which struck at 04.25 p.m. local time was located 240 km northwest of the district at a depth of 10 km, Christmanto, head of the Kotabumi geophysics station in Lampung province said.

There was no immediate report of casualty or damage to property.(*/T007)
