Another letter has also been sent about the installation of deputy Mayor of Solo FX Hadi Rudyatmo (Rudy) as new mayor of the city.
The letters were sent after the City Council and Central Java Governor Bibit Waluyo approved Jokowi's resignation and installation of Rudy .
Jokowi's term as mayor of Solo should expire in 2015, but he has to resume service as new governor of Jakarta after winning the recent election with running mate Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok).
Chairman of the City Council YF Sukasno said here on Tuesday the plenary session on resignation of Jokowi and installation of Rudy went smoothly with acclamation.
Jokowi and Ahok would be respectively governor and vice governor of Jakarta for the next five years.(*/DWA/T007)
