"The ranking means that Indonesia has cultural heritages that can inspire the growth of creative economy," she said.
"Indonesia has a variety of art and cultural attractions, coming from its more than 300 different tribes and ethnic groups, which could be used to enrich the creative economy," Mari added.
"It is time for us to develop a creative economy based on art and culture, because the domestic market for it has been growing," she said.
The minister noted that 27 percent of Indonesia's population of 237 million was in the productive age group, which could support the development of the creative economic sector.(IGT)
