Denpasar (Antara Bali) - The 34th Bali Art Festival (PKB) is scheduled to open by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on June 11, 2012 that involves about 15 thousand artists both local and outside the country.
Head of Bali Cultural Office, I Ketut Suastika stated those artists are included to the opening ceremony, exhibitions and performances on a whole month.
"Foreign artists who have confirmed to participate at the festival are from Japan, Korea, India, Malaysia, United States, Germany and Netherlands," Suastika said here on Wednesday.
Cultural parade attractions will be performed during the opening ceremony of PKB which represented Bali's regencies.
The ceremony to take place at Balinese Struggle or Bajra Sandhi Monument and marked with the sound of "okokan" a Tabanan traditional music made of bamboo struck by President Yudhoyono and Governor Made Mangku Pastika and the opening will be continued at night, located at Denpasar Art Center.
"Several cultural attractions will be performed such as Bali Dwipa Jaya Dance as the island's mascot, conducted by ISI Denpasar. This will be the premiere performance and also drama dance or sendratari "Purusadha Santa" describing the diversity of culture and community," Suastika added.(LHS/DWA/T007)
