Mataram (Antara Bali) - Members of police anti-terror unit Densus 88 have arrested two terrorist suspects, identified as Drg YA and K, in Bima on the island of Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara.
West Nusa Tenggara police spokesman Adjunct Senior Commissioner Sukarman Husein confirmed the arrests here on Saturday.
"That is true. Two people suspected of being involved in a terrorist network were arrested on Friday afternoon in the town of Bima. But the two were immediately taken to Jakarta last night aboard a special plane and were never been brought to the West Nusa Tenggara Police Headquarters here," he said.
According to information, Drg YA and K, who are physicians, were caught while walking on Melati Street in Bima after Friday prayers.
Officials said they were on the way to the Drg YA's house, which is some 200 meters from the mosque whey they held otheir prayers.(IGT/T007)
